“The mission of the Fleisher Art Memorial is to make art accessible to everyone, regardless of economic means, background, or artistic experience. Fleisher is a prominent and thriving community arts center, celebrated as one of the first in the nation. Fleisher serves over 16,000 annually, with 1,702 young people attending our tuition-free classes and low-cost workshops, 3,820 adults taking free and low-cost classes and workshops, 358 children and youth being served in public schools and community centers throughout Southeast Philadelphia, and 8,430 visitors to our galleries annually.”

Creative Aging Focus:

Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia is a funded member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education’s 2017-2018 Catalyzing Creativity cohort. Their leadership participates in the Guild’s Creative Aging Network on the Steering Committee. Aside from their participation in the Guild’s programs, Fleisher engaged Lifetime Arts to conduct teaching artist training workshops.
