This Next Avenue article by Julie Pfitzinger features a recent production of “Hair” by the Minneapolis-based theatre company Theatre 55.   The company was founded to provide opportunities for older adults to participate in professional developed theatre productions.  Pfitzinger describes the decision by the company director to cast older adults in “Hair”, based on their direct experiences with the cultural issues explored in the play.  The highly production was well received and underscored the performative value of older adults’ lived experiences.
