description
Following on Age UK’s development of an Index of Wellbeing, which indicated that cultural and creative participation is the single most important factor affecting wellbeing in later life, Age UK undertook a second phase of research that used data from the prior project, especially its Understanding Society survey (USoc) called Wave 2 USoc. Wave 2 USoc engaged 700 “panelists” (ordinary older adults) from across the UK in a qualitative study that examines their cultural participation and its relationship to their wellbeing. The Report also provides examples of creative activities designed for older adults and recommendations for practice and policy.
