Arts Learning and the Older Adult

This webinar was primarily aimed at senior center staff, but was applicable to Creative Aging arts organization staff and teaching artists. The webinar dived deep into best practices and principles related to adult learning.

Attendees learned about:

  • The research behind Creative Aging programming
  • Universal design, diverse learners, and how teaching artists design programs that takes individual learner’s needs and goals into account
  • The difference between passive, “drop-in” arts programming and sequential skill building arts programming
  • The positive impact that sequential, skill-building arts programming has on senior center members and the community at large
