description

This article is a feature on Nancy Doran, a resident at Standish Village who tends to self-isolate. Nancy is a lifelong pianist and loves performing, and soon brought the idea to perform in front of her fellow residents to the Standish Village team. The team jumped at the opportunity and soon, Nancy directed a sing-along, accompanied her friends on the piano, and performed in front of a huge crowd. She was overjoyed with the turnout. Since then, Nancy’s story has been shared across Senior Living Residences communities as an example of what individualized programming can look like when it brings residents out of their shells and allows them to thrive through engaging with what they love to do.
